He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Mitchell and Ethel Mitchell; his wife Nancy Ann Mitchell; his son Miles Christian "Bubba" Mitchell; and his brother Jarmon Mitchell.

He is survived by: his children, Marcellous Mitchell, Shawn Michael Roper (Heidi Ruschenberg), Paris Miles Mitchell (Lydia Perkins) and Kassandra Garza. He is also survived by his five grandchildren.
