He is survived by: his son John Paul Blackwell Jr.; his grandchildren, Ryan Blackwell (Emily Blackwell) and Casey Blackwell; and his siblings, James Blackwell, Tommy Blackwell, Bobby Blackwell, Wayne Blackwell, Carol Downs and Marilyn Blackwell.
