He is survived by: his children, Shawn Dodson of Texas City and Paula Dodson of Hitchcock; his brother Richard Dodson (Lynn) of Dallas; his grandchildren, Laura Garrison (Brandon), Sgt. Jami Dodson (Alex) and LCpl; and his great grandchild Raylee Dodson.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mainland Community Church (1708 N Amburn Rd c, Texas City, TX 77591).
