He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Velasquez and Guadalupe Velasquez Biberston; his stepfather Harry Biberston; and his siblings, Jerry Velasquez and Rachel Velasquez.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Velasquez; his children, Shebette Boman (Alan), Gretta Bassett (Tim) and Nathan Graber (Ann); his grandchildren, Zach McNamara, Lynsie Salazar, Lauren Vermilyea (Christian), Trevor Bassett, Travis Bassett, Bryce Boman (Desiree), Preslie Hearne and Jaxon Graber; his great grandchildren, Samuel, Carson, Madilyn, Donovan and Ledger; and his siblings, Annette Velasquez Hlebinsky (Gary) and Victor Biberston. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A reception was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 8:30 AM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
