With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Robert Vaughn Sr. (Texas City, Texas), born in Villa Grove, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 25, 2024 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Richmond Berry and Leslie L. Vaughn; and his son Edward Vaughn. He is survived by: his sister Carole Nussmeyer; his children, Elaine Mayorgas, Sue Ann Thrash, Doug Vaughn, Jr., Kayla Hunter, Lisa Baird and Daryl Hunter; and his nieces, Joy Pisulo and Amy Nussmeyer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scholarship Fund at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2753, honoring Doug's commitment to education and community support.
