With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patsy Ruth Barnes of Texarkana, Texas, who passed away on March 21, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Patsy Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Patsy Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Doyle C. Barnes. She is survived by: her children, Steve Barnes (Rebecca) of Red Lick, Barry Barnes (Mitzi) of Longview, Danny Barnes (Jennifer) of Florida and Gay Cauley (Pat) of Texarkana, Texas; and her sister Peggy McClendon of Palestine, Texas. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Texarkana Funeral Home (3515 Texas Blvd, Texarkana, TX 75503). A graveside service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery (1001 N Kings Hwy, Texarkana, TX 75501).
