She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Porterfield and Virtie Porterfield; her husbands, Jewell Smith and Frank Martin; her son Jewell L. Smith Jr.; her grandchild Whitney Smith; and her siblings, Orville Porterfield, Willard Porterfield, Ada Doris and Armand Portfield.
She is survived by: her son John Smith (Denise); her great grandchild Graham Ellwood; and her stepgrandchildren, Lindsey King, Lauren Morris and Kelsey Rhyne.
