Vivian Yates Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Yates of Terrell, Texas, who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Lee and Thelma Novell Phelps; her husband Jerry Yates; and her brothers, Lawrence, Lloyd, Lonnie and Lewis Joe.
She is survived by: her son Lance Yates; her grandchildren, Kara, Braydon and Alexander; and her siblings, Leon Phelps and Dorthey Crawford. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives along with a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Max Slayton Funeral Chapel (642 N Rockwall Ave, Terrell, TX 75160). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (401 W Broad St, Forney, TX 75126).
