We are sad to announce that on January 31, 2024, Richard Townsend of Terrell, Texas, born in Paris, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Townsend and Tommie Jo Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Jill Townsend; his daughters, Ashley French (Brian) and Christina Townsend (Mark); his stepson Treavor Whisenhunt (Maggie); and his brother James "Kelly" Townsend (Janet).

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that contributions be made to First United Methodist Church located at 503 W. College St. Terrell, TX 75160 in honor of Rick's selfless giving to others.
