She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Thigpen and Allie M. Thigpen (Burch); her children, Mona Mauldin and Dale Smith; her husband Oscar Skurlock; her grandsons, Nathan Dale Smith and Ricky Kirkpatrick; her great grandchild Sarah Kaytlyn Cope; and her siblings, Kenneth Thigpen and Faye Thorn.
She is survived by: her children, Mitchell Smith (Donna) of Bandera, TX, Brenda Skurlock (Danny) of Terrell, TX, Frannie Cope of Rockwall, TX, Patricia Smith of Royse City, TX, Donna Kitzmiller of Lamar and Doris Ashton of Balch Springs, TX. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
