He was predeceased by: his parents, Houston LaRoe and Geneva Leona Long; his wife Sally LaRoe; his sister Mary Sparks; and his nephew Kenneth Sparks.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth, Michele LaRoe and John Thomas Laroe Jr.; his grandchildren, Lyndsay LaRoe, Evan Howington and Sarah LaRoe; and his great grandchild Skylar LaRoe.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Goggans Funeral Home (1911 N Frances St, Terrell, TX 75160). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rockwall and Brin Church of Christ (407 N Rockwall Ave, Terrell, TX 75160). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fox Cemetery (10363 Co Rd 110, Kaufman, TX 75142).
