With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Doris Etheridge of Terrell, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her father Paul Emil Adolph Sy; her sisters, Shirley, Carolyn and Nancy; and her former husband Jackie Kenneth Etheridge.
She is survived by: her mother-in-law Katherine Anna Dooley; her sisters, Janet Beene and Mary Prewitt; her brother-in-law Dudley Prewitt; her children, Mark (Ann Longmore-Etheridge) and Lori (John Knight); her grandchildren, Jeremy (Loran), Gregory (Ashley), Natalie (Sam Smith), Nicholas (Patrick Barnett) and Emily; and her nieces and nephews, Julian Boring (Lisa Keith-Boring), Cynthia Beene Sykora (John Sykora), Cherie Prewitt Ware (Matthew Ware), Jan Florian and Jeff Florian.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Max Slayton Funeral Chapel (642 N Rockwall Ave, Terrell, TX 75160). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Grove Hill Memorial Park.
