He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Frances Hetmer Babovec and Albert Babovec; and his brothers, Alvin Joe Babovec and Johnny Babovec. He is survived by: his friend Café; his wife Betty Babovec; his children, Caron Leigh Sherrard (Gary Lee) of Terrell and Albert Lee Babovec, Jr. (Kathryn Kristen) of Plano; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Paige Tynes (Jerrod) of Rockwall, Tait Holden Sherrard of Kaufman and Eden Grace Babovec of Lubbock; and his siblings, Bobby Joe Babovec (Etta) of Kaufman and Georgia Mae Peavler (Abe) of Kaufman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Victory Baptist Church (7325 TX-34, Scurry, TX 75158). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kaufman Cemetery (808 N Washington St, Kaufman, TX 75142).
