She was predeceased by: her mother Marcelina Navarrete (Raul P. Hernandez); her siblings, Abelina Bustamante, Evaristo and Blas Navarrete; and her stepson Reymundo Hernandez.

She is survived by: her friends, Celia Brito, Licha Jinenez, Sofia Jinenez and Vina Mills; and her daughters, Juanita H. Mendoza (Carlos C. Mendoza Jr.) of Terlingua and Magdalena H. Melendez (Raul Melendez) of Alpine, Texas.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
