He is survived by: his wife Janice Brown; his sister Elaine Rozell; his children, Lynda Stringer (Ron) and William (Lita); his grandson Christopher Stringer; his stepgranddaughter Amber Vial (Dexter); and his great grandchildren, Kara, Makinze, Aiden, Zaryiah and Alayiah.
He loved making toys and donating them to the Toys for Tots program.
