She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe D. Burns Sr. and Mary Jeane Lord Burns; and her husband Steve Adams. She is survived by: her children, Mandie Caldwell (Jerry) of Gary, Whitney Minix (Zach) of Caldwell and Michael Adams (Danielle) of Tenaha; her grandchildren, Avery, Alayna Caldwell and Alana Kelly; her siblings, Joe D. Burns Jr. (Tammy) of Timpson, Billy Burns (Rayla) of Silsbee, Charles Burns (Brendah) of Center and Bridget Burns-Collins (Michael Jones); and her close friend Lisa Fleming. She is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Tenaha (200 S George Bowers Dr, Tenaha, TX 75974). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Smith Cemetery Center, Texas Get (12545 TX-7, Center, TX 75935).
