Clara Carolyn Cross Hooker Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Carolyn Cross Hooker of Tenaha, Texas, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurine Hairgrove Cross and Buel William Cross; and her husband Charles Garrison Hooker. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Hooker Cumbie (Jim) and Jeffrey Hooker (Dannett); her grandchildren, Claire Cumbie Brody (Parker), Trey Cumbie, Camille Cumbie, Kori Hooker Belrose (Grant), Kelsi Hooker and Garrett Hooker; her great grandchildren, Eda James Brody, Abel Royal Brody, McArthur Charles Brody, Zoey Faith Belrose and Carter Lauren Belrose; her brother Roland Cross; and her sister-in-law Dianne Cross. She is also survived by many loving caregivers, nieces, nephews, and special family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (200 S George Bowers Dr, Tenaha, TX 75974). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at the Woods Cemetery (383 Co Rd 425, Tenaha, TX 75974).
