She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry R. Shurr and Violet Hummell Shurr; her foster parents, Charles Hilbert and Hannah Hilbert; and her husband Burney Howell.
She is survived by: her children, William B. Howell Jr (Lisa), Susan Barefoot (Aldos), Diane Old, Cynthia A. Havard (Don) and Janice S. Haverland (David).
