We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2025, at the age of 76, Vernon Smith of Temple, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Smith and Opal Smith; his sisters, Karen Smith and Sandy Wilson; and his children, Bobby Smith, Tammy Smith and Denna Noey.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Smith of Temple; his former wife Trina Cochrane of Waco; his children, Tyson Smith of Waco, Connie Carter of Temple and Danielle Cochrane of Waco; and his siblings, Debbie Edwards of West, Marsha Juhl of Aquilla and Marty Smith of West. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home (500 W Barton Ave, Temple, TX 76501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Clifton Memorial Park.
