It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Lawson Boop (Temple, Texas), born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on October 10, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Lawson and Irene Goode Lawson; her daughter Caroline Boop; and her son-in-law Mark Forbes. She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Boniface (Damon) of Moffat and Karen Forbes of Moffat; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Marsden, Cara Boniface, Malorie Montoya and Kelly Anderson; and her great grandchildren, Persephone Marsden and Kynadie Montoya.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Mrs. Boop's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 (stjude.org).
