He was predeceased by: his father Sam Bennett; his wife Margaret Ruth Kamas; and his grandson Franklyn Lloyd Bennett. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Kelarek (Kenny) of Salado and Brad Bennett (Tammy) of Temple; his brother Jack Bennett (Judy) of Little River; his grandchildren, Brent Bennett (Allison), Justin Bennett, Johnathan Powell (Kessiah), Hannah Kelarek and Sarah Kate Zapalac (Brady); and his great grandchildren, Ella Bennett, Jace Bennett, Jackson Bennett, Cadence Smith and Jonah Powell.

Memorials may be given in Mr. Bennett's name to the Wilson Valley Cemetery Association.
