It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tivis Sanders Hitt of Temple, Texas, who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bollie Sanders Hitt Jr. and Geraldine Whitley; his wife Dorothy Hitt; and his great grandchild Blaise. He is survived by: his daughters, Mechelle Capell (Curtis) and Suzanne Palmer (Jason) of Temple; and his siblings, Sarah Soloman, Jane Hitt of Dallas and Travis Hitt of Austin. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
