Stanley L. Grygar Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stanley L. Grygar of Temple, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Stanley L. Grygar to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Grygar (Hanacik) and Joe Grygar; his sisters, Josephine Grygar and Hattie; his brother-in-law John Tomek; his siblings, Clarence Grygar and Marietta; his brothers-in-law, Dionys Brenek and Vernon G. Plowman; his in-laws, Emil Divis II, Annie and Walter Jakubec; and his brothers-in-law, Emil Divis III, Eugene Divis and Johnny Jakubec.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Divis; his grandchildren, Chad Meeks (Meghan), Eric Quest (Barbara), Brent Grygar (Nicole), Chase Grygar (Lauren), Kevin Dunnahoo (Nikki), Kyle Dunnahoo, Carina Dunnahoo, Caci Dunnahoo, Jacie Glaser (Trenton), Tyler Grygar (Caitlyn), Travis Grygar (Kelsey), Tanner Toomer and Kylie Toomer; his sister Marguerite Plowman; his sister-in-law Eileen Grygar; and his sisters, Anna (Steve Eixman) and Bea Jakubec. He is also survived by Thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the St. Joseph Parish Hall (20120 FM485, Burlington, TX 76519). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Luke Catholic Church (2807 Oakdale Dr, Temple, TX 76502). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St Joseph Cemetery - Cyclone (20605 FM 485, Cameron, TX 76519).
In lieu of flower arrangements, the family requests memorials in his name be made to: St. Luke Catholic Church or St. Luke Building Fund at 2807 Oakdale, Temple, TX 76502, Any Alzheimer's Association of your choice, Any Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association of your choice, Or to any charity of choice.
