It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel L. Uhrig (Temple, Texas), who passed away on October 4, 2018, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Uhrig and Alice Uhrig; and his brother Carl, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Betty Joan Christal Uhrig; and his siblings, Claire Poff, Carroll, Barbara, Fred, Albert, Teresa, Larry and Sandra. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Sam said that "he has a new address, a new phone number, and you cannot have it until you get to heaven and in order to do that you have to be saved!" In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics of Texas or a charity of your choice.
