Ruby Barrett Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Barrett of Temple, Texas, who passed away on November 11, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonzo Lawson and Mona Lawson; her husband George Barrett; the father of her children Bill; her son-in-law Scotty Leake; and her brother-in-law Ray Horne of San Augustine, TX.
She is survived by: her former husband Billy Joe Cearley; her children, Judy Leake of Schertz, TX, Beverly Goodrum Lindsey (Tim) of Angleton, TX, Cheryl Cearley of Temple, TX, Colleen Tyson (Dallas) of North Carolina, John Barrett (Freida) of Waco and Terri Barrett of Pennsylvania; her sister Margie Bruton of Dripping Springs, TX; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Lawson of Wolfforth, Marva Lawson of Holland, Johnnie Hopson of California and Patty Connelly of Ohio. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great- grandchildren.
