He is survived by: his wife Augustine Harris Benson of Temple, Texas; his daughters, Kiarra Deem (Luke) of Tan Valley and La'Kisha Troup (Tony) of Temple, Texas; his siblings, Joe Benson Jr. of Temple, Al Benson (Myra) of Mableton, Georgia, Jonell Gage (Tommie) of Taylor, Betty Egleston (Willie) of Columbia, Sandra Russell of Temple and Carolyn Benson of Atlanta, Georgia; and his daughters, Carol Harris of Arlington, Sharon Washington (Calvin) of Arlington, Vershonda Brown (James) of Killeen, Rhonda Cay-Hernandez (Hector) of Azle and Tanya Brownridge of Killeen, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren, six bonus great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
