He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Mack Tharp and Bernice Loraine Davis Tharp; his wife Dixie DeAun Stoneman of Brownfield; his siblings, Thomas L. Tharp, Alice Pierce of Knoxville, TN and Charlene Samson of Ottawa; and his son-in-law James E. Cleveland.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Jean Cleveland of Austin and Gregory Scott Tharp (Fela) of Waco; his grandchildren, Andrea Tharp McLean (Nathan), Danny Cleveland (Sarah), Emily Cleveland and Lydia Cleveland (Matt Kornegay); and his great grandchildren, Felix Cleveland, Eliza Cleveland and David McLean.
