She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther A. Griffin and Maud Keever Griffin; her husband Alton L. Sheppard Sr. (Buck); her siblings, Luke and Dorothy Griffin; her grandsons, Alton Sheppard III (Bo) and Luther Hoyt Sheppard; and her son-in-law Bennie Schaefer.
She is survived by: her children, Alton L. Sheppard Jr. of Temple and Sylvia Schaefer of Temple; and her grandchildren, Travis Schaefer (Amber) of Troy, Beverly Guardado (Richard) of Temple and Rebecca Morse (Gary) of Waco. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and ten great- great grandchildren.
