He was predeceased by: his parents, Clio C. Brown and Jessie M. Brown (Moats); his spouse Bessie "Betty" Barber; his son Michael Duane Brown; and his granddaughter Erin Richardson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joan Ervin (George) of Temple and Kathy Richardson (Scott) of Carroll, Iowa; his nephews, Larry Hiatt (Shirley) of Nevada and Pete Brown (Elaine) of Mankato, Minnesota; and his grandchildren, Holly Brown (John) of Temple, Brian Corbin (Laura) of Jonestown, TX, David Corbin (Stacy) of Temple, Matthew Ervin (Daniel) of Austin, Steve Ervin of Copperas Cove, Michael Richardson of Carroll and Jeff Richardson (Genevieve) of North Aurora, Illinois. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
