Mary Helen Schigut Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Helen Schigut of Temple, Texas, who passed away on February 26, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Schneider and Laura Schneider; her son Richard Schigut; her former husband John Joe Jahns; and her siblings, Beatrice Niekamp, Harvey, William, Bernard and Harold Schneider.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Schigut; her children, John Jahns of Rosebud, Jana Jahns of San Diego and Michael Jahns (Monica) of Ratibor; her grandchildren, Sara (Travis Janak), Kate (Nick Rossi), Matthew (Cheyenne Jahns), Jacob (Lacy Jahns), Ethan (Heidi Jahns), Lucy Jahns of Temple and Mary Jahns of College Station; her siblings, Arlene Wilde of Temple, Margaret Mikeska of Burlington, Carol (Harold Moore) of Cameron, George Schneider of Temple, Charles (Ann Schneider) of Rosebud and Daniel (Cindy Schneider) of Gatesville; and her sisters-in-law, Ginger Schneider of Capitan, Madeline (Lee Roy Sehon) of Temple and Linda Schneider of Holland. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
