She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilhelm Schaeffer and Else Schaeffer; and her brother Wilfred Schaeffer. She is survived by: her spouse Ray; her children, Randy Eckerman (Deborah) of Livonia and Terry Eckerman of Temple; and her grandchildren, Christopher Eckerman (Jessica), Matthew Eckerman (Jennifer), Ryan Eckerman (Amanda) and Nicole Jeffrey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Gentiva Hospice.
