It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Glisper Fort (Temple, Texas), who passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father William Gillespie Fort; and his siblings, Ella Ruth, Ethel Mae, Willie Lewis, Viola Smith and William Fort, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Wanda Fort; his daughter Faynetta Fort (Paul O'Kelly); his granddaughter Amber Franklin; and his sisters, Mary J. Roberts (Albert) of Lakeland, Shirley D. Thomas of Vaiden and Dorothy J. Fort of Ridgeland. He is also survived by nine children, he is survived by a wife, daughter and three sisters.
