He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Dever and Lillie Mae Robinson; his wife Bennie Dever; his son Lee Roy Dever Jr.; and his siblings, Richard Dever, Amos Dever and Zelma Holloway.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Turner (Jason) of Temple and Gregory Dever of Temple; his grandchildren, LaDenna Miles (DeJuan), Shawn Lexion of Temple, Quincy Darden of New Jersey and John Darden of Killeen; and his great grandchildren, DeAvontae Miles, DeNyja Miles and Da'Mari Lexion. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
