He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue O'Connor; his children, Susan Elizabeth Starr of Belton and Adam Jennings Starr M. D. (Heidi) of Dallas; his grandchildren, Sarah Jane Starr of Dallas, Samuel Jennings Starr of Dallas and John Caleb Starr of Dallas; his sister Sally Starr of Denver; his nieces, Kristen Livesay and Jessica Livesay; his great-nephews, William Starr and Jason Starr; his great-niece Esther Starr; and also, Josephine O'Connor and Maurice O'Connor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dr. John Starr may be made in support of the Neuroscience Institute at Baylor Scott & White.
