He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert Heintze and Mary Koch Heintze; and his siblings, Eda, Annie, Katie, Augusta, Hattie, Elizabeth, Boobie, Ludy and Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Laverne Baring; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Cheryl; his daughter Mary; his son-in-law Ricky Routt; and his daughter Debra. He is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
