He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earl Sr. and Guadalupe De La Goss (Cruz); his brother Robert Earl Goss Jr.; and his nephew Jove Melendez. He is survived by: his children, Cassadie Rain Goss, Amiraeh Lizzette Goss, Divinity Raye Goss, Breesa Marie Ford and Joe Michael Goss II of Temple; and his sisters, Theresa Hernandez of Temple, Cynthia Arriaga of Temple and Sylvia Goss of San Antonio. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

“I met Joe Michael when he was a tattoo artist at platinum tattoos here in san antonio, tx When i first him i thought omg he looks so mean then i actually met him and he was the most kind, sweet person i have ever met. Spending time with him was never a dull moment. i remember going out to cowboys dancehall or wild west with Joe michael to just dance the night away. He taught me some dance moves and taught me how to follow instead of trying to lead lol. He was my friend and i miss him. ILYJM”
