He was predeceased by: his grandmother Genovena. He is survived by: his parents, George Santos and Nancy Cortez; his sons, Joe Anthony Cortez of Killeen and Xavier Lee Cortez of Killeen; and his brothers, Michael Paul Cortez and Carlos Manuel Vila of Temple. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
