He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Bartek and Bessie Martinec Bartek; and his siblings, Norma, James and Glen Bartek.

He is survived by: his children, Melissa Raymond of Dallas, Joseph Bartek of Temple and Michelle Bartek-Porubsky (Danny) of Temple; his grandchildren, Payton Porubsky of College Station, Morgan Porubsky of Temple, Brittany Gwin of Kennedale, Savannah Belk (Tre) of Dallas and Cheyenne Gwin of Palestine; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Belk of Dallas and Marceline Vitale-Gwin of Kennedale.
