He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Frances Rogan Owens and Jesse T. Owens; and his siblings, Ron Pettit and Nancy Pettit Livingston. He is survived by: his daughters, Jeanese Owens Ranly-Husband and Jodi Owens Fields Livingston; his grandchildren, Colton Lee Ranly, Jared Paul Ranly, Bailee Renae Fields, Rogan Heath Ranly, Caidon Ray Livingston and Avery Jo Fields; his great grandchild Kelsey Leigh Ranly; his siblings, Judith Juergens, Margaret Wilson, George Livingston and Bob Pettit; his cousin Walter Tutor (Martha Tutor); his aunt Patricia Holloway; his grandsons, Bill Tutor and Waylon Tutor; and also, Bill Tutor, Michael Baca and Gina Veillon.
In lieu of flowers, Jimmy requested that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
