He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonse Schoppe and Marie Marek Schoppe. He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie; his daughters, Brenda Mikeska of Temple and Virginia Cook (Jeffrey) of Academy; his grandchildren, Brittlea Douglas, Carley Douglas, Jackson Cook and Colton Cook; and his siblings, Michael Schoppe (Jo Ann) of Cameron, Robert Schoppe (Geneivieve) of Cameron, Al Schoppe (Dianne) of Temple, George Schoppe (Rene) of Gatesville, Kathy Schoppe of Temple and Bernadette Jochec (Steve) of Cameron.

Memorials may be made in Jerome' s memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
