He was predeceased by: his stepfather Steven F. Austin. He is survived by: his wife Paula Gillis of Temple; his children, Amber Mariah Gillis of Temple, Amanda Lehman Poff of Conroe, Nicholas Scott Gillis of Mobile, AL and Kyle Grant Lehman of San Antonio; his siblings, Kevin Richard Gillis of Conroe and Cheryl Burch of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Payten Rene Poff, Rylee Piper Poff and Reese Regan Poff; and his nieces and nephews, Jenalynn Sue Morgan, Kimberly Stevens, Megan Murphy, Rodrick Dane Richard Gillis "Rowdy" and Joe Murphy. He is also survived by his family and friends.
