He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jupiter Freeman and Mae Smothers of Nevada; his wife Ruth LaVerne Allen; his children, Stephen, Simeon Freeman and Ruth Lynn Freeman; his siblings, Billie, Leroy, JT Freeman and Mary Ann Freeman; his mother-in-law Teacher Hattie Allen; his sons, Allen Freeman (Marie), Verling Freeman (Donna) and Ruben Freeman; his godson Patrick Grant of Temple; his daughters, Vanessa Sanders (Arthur) of Walters, OK, Rheda Heaggans (Craig) of Bellville, IL, Grace Freeman of Houston, TX and Althea; his goddaughter Myrisha Nealy of Temple, TX.; his siblings, Harriel Freeman (Bertha) of Temple, TX, Obie Freeman of Temple, TX, Alvin Freeman (Dorothy) of Temple, TX, Horace Marshall of Lulling, TX, Joe Brown of Temple, TX., Bonnie Carnegie of Temple, TX and Cheryl Abercrombie of Temple, TX; and his stepsiblings, Joe Nathan Marshall, Dalton Marshall, Nolan Marshall, James Marshall and Joyce DuBard. He was also cherished by 29 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of children, family, and friends.
