He was predeceased by: his parents, Hijinio Hernandez Sr. and Aurora Resendez; and his wife Celia Hernandez. He is survived by: his children, Eugene Hernandez (Rebekah) and Aurora Diaz; and his siblings, Jesse Hernandez, John Hernandez, Guadalupe Hernandez, Ricardo Hernandez and Virginia Ortega of Temple. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
