She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edward and Lovis Mullins Spruce; her husband Bert Harrell Newsome; her son Elbert Newsome; her granddaughter Michelle Williamson; and her brothers, Wayne and W. E. Spruce.
She is survived by: her children, Bert (Joyce) of Bryan, Evelyn Anderson of Yarrelton, David (Petie) of Little River, Theresa Syndram of Temple, Nita Crawford of Temple and Pat Newsome of Temple. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.
