She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Paula Montgomery; her husband James Hopson, Jr. of Killeen, TX; her brothers, Dan Thomas, Jr. (Remy) of Washington, DC and Patrick Thomas of San Antonio, TX; her children, Edward Montgomery, Jr. (LaTasha Cook), Alton Montgomery, Sr., Tametha James of Temple, TX and Sharon Johnson of Temple, TX; her mothers-in-law, Dorothy Montgomery and Lanell Butler; and her grandchildren, Chandra, Lauren, Courtney, Elexis, Alton, Jr., Alayiss, Abrianna, Ya'Quita, R'Tavia, Chaquita, Fabian, Jr., Omarvya and Monte, Jr..
