She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Silberman; her parents, Jacob Engelsberg (Argentina) and Jane Furer Engelsberg; and her sister Julia Engelsberg Saslavsky (Argentina). She is survived by: her daughters, Marsha Hanson and Jacqueline Nirenberg; her grandchildren, Zachary and Abigail Nirenberg; her nieces, Cinthia Rozanski, Miriam Rozanski and Sammi Rozanski; and her nephew Horacio Rozanski.
