He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Herman and Mary Rose Ketterman (Rabroker); and his siblings, Lawrence Ketterman, Alois Ketterman and Sister Miriam Joseph Ketterman.

He is survived by: his siblings, Angeline "Angie" Gerick, Raymond Ketterman (Betty Jo) and Robert Ketterman of Temple. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
