She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Erskine Cox and Winnie J. Honeycutt Cox; her husband Robert Hess; her siblings, Juanita Brinzo, Kay Harrington and Jack Cox; and her grandson Jeremy Austin Hess.
She is survived by: her sister Brooksie Sheppard of Temple; her children, Carolyn Winnett (Starky) of Temple and Larry Hess (LuAnn) of Temple; her grandchildren, Hollie Winnett Brewer (David) of Roanoke, Heath Winnett (Cody) of Lake Dallas, Michael Ray (Becca) of Belton, Allison Hess Southerland (Gregg) of Temple, Catherine Ray of Austin, Courtney Ray Torrez (Josh) of Ovalo and Aaron Hess of Temple; her great grandchildren, Coley Austin Stephens, Emmalee Stephens, Jeremy Witcher, Zachary Austin Southerland, Grace Torrez, Jasmine Abney, Bryan Ray, Greggory Abney Jr., Anthony Abney, Landon Brewer, Ryker Heath Winnett and Isabella Abney; and her great great grandchild Elijah Scott Cook.
