With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elder Robert Lane Jr. (Temple, Texas), born in Laurinburg, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lane and Mabel Lane (Nelson); his siblings, Frank Lane Jr., Norvella Prince, Rebecca Fletcher and Queen Esther McDowell; and his son James Robert Lane (Jill Lane) of Maxton.
He is survived by: his sisters, Lillian Jones (Deacon Henry Jones) of North Carolina, Pastor Anna Lane (Michael Gilmore) of North Carolina and Deaconess Dorothy Manning (Deacon Thomas Manning) of North Carolina; and his children, Margie Eastman of Laurinburg, Jerome Lane (Speedy Lane) of Wilmington, Fannie Moss of Harker Heights and Dianne. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
