He is survived by: his mother Georgia Lee Thomas Sauls of Temple; his close friend Toni Garland of Houston; and his siblings, Robert Sauls (Ebony) of Temple, Amos Sauls "Sugar Black" of Temple, Donald Sauls (Fannie) of Temple, Margaret Ann Beckham of Temple, Dora Jackson of Temple and Connie White (Jasper) of Killeen, Texas. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
